When disscussing about ways of driving traffic or making money online through a website in forums, Many people will mention the use of PPC advertising. So What exactly is PPC advertising?

Pay per click (PPC) is a method of advertising business through the use of keywords/phrases in the search engines. The advertisers only pay for each click that sends a visitor to his website. Google AdWords, Yahoo Search Marketing, 7search are some of the examples of PPC advertising programs. They offer top positions among the sponsored listings in their search engines for particular keywords/phrases of your choice. The idea for bidding is you have to bid on keywords/phrases related to your business. When someone enters a keyword your have bid and press 'search' in search engine, your paid listing or contextual ad will appear on the right hand side of the search result page. Futhermore, Google and Yahoo will also display your PPC ad in websites within their networks. The higher your bid the higher your ad position and the more people will click your ad. If your bid is too low and many advertisers are bidding your keywords, your ad might show in second, third or lower in the search result page.

The Truth About Earning $1,000 or More Weekly From Affiliate Programs

Everyone is talking about them. Almost everyone is a member of at least a few of them. Affiliate programs are hot. You can usually sign up for free and be selling products within 5 minutes. The web sites, sales letters, and order shipping are all done for you. All you have to do is promote.

But...Is anyone making money from these programs except for the affiliate program owner?

It is a surprising statistic when you find out that only around 10% to 20% of affiliate members do enough to ever get a check. Then, only a small percentage of those go on to earn really good incomes from affiliate programs.

It isn't the affiliate program either. Although some affiliate programs have pitifully small payouts (5% to 10%) and limit their members that way, the real problem comes with the fact that affiliates have no idea how to sell from their affiliate sites. The affiliate owners usually don't have any idea how to help them either.

I own several affiliate programs myself, so I have spent a considerable amount of time studying my top affiliates and the top affiliates in programs all over the Internet.

The principles below are true of almost everyone of the top affiliates in every program I have looked at. If you want to succeed and earn at least $5,000 or more per month from affiliate programs, then you will have to be following the five steps below. If you don't, it just isn't going to happen...and you have no one to blame but yourself.

1. Create Your Own Web Site.

Although almost every program gives you a web site to use to promote with, you really shouldn't be promoting with that site. The top affiliates always have their own web sites which they promote from. Then, they link to the affiliate program sites.

I never drive traffic directly to any of the affiliate programs. I drive it to my site, get their name on my opt-in list, and then promote affiliate programs. If you are serious about earning profits online, then you will do the same.

Having your own site and linking to your affiliate program gives you some additional advantages as well:

* You can write up a short two to four paragraph endorsement and testimonial for the site yourself.

* You can generate subscribers to your opt-in list first (this is the key to Internet profits).

* If the affiliate program ever stops or changes your link, you still have all the traffic you worked for at YOUR site (this happens quite often).

If you don't currently have a web site, but want to earn through affiliate programs, you need to get one today.

2. Generate Traffic

You can't earn a single penny in any affiliate program without generating traffic to your site. No traffic equals no income. Combine the right ingredients of an opt-in list, good site design, and the right sales offer...and your income will be directly proportional to the targeted traffic you generate.

An advantage that I didn't mention above in why you should own your own domain is getting listed with the search engines. The pages given to you by your affiliate program owner aren't going to receive virtually any traffic from the search engines. They won't have top rankings because there are at least 1,000 other pages just like them (from the other affiliate members) and many software programs create pages which can't even be indexed by the search engines.

Having your own domain will give you the freedom to create web pages which could achieve high rankings on the search engines. Each of the major search engines such as Google, Yahoo, AltaVista, Infoseek, Hotbot, and the others have their own ranking algorithms which change virtually monthly.

But remember search engines are not the only way to build traffic to your site. You can trade links with sites, place free and paid classifieds, and even use banner advertising. There are dozens of ways to generate traffic. If you want to make money from your affiliate programs, you will be using them.

3. Start an Opt-In List.

I checked my affiliate members' checks this month and noticed a very interesting trend. All top 10 affiliates have their own opt-in email lists and are pretty aggressive marketers to those lists. They all mail to their opt-in list at least weekly and the number one affiliate this month mails to his list every single day.

That is where my income is coming from also. Over 90% of my income comes through using opt-in email in one way or another...either through my newsletters or through my autoresponders with follow-up. If you don't know how to use email, then your always going to be living on barely get by street in the online market.

The web sites which I send the most traffic to have one purpose to them...and one purpose only...to sign them up on my newsletter lists. All of the content that I have on my site is for that one purpose.

If you can't get a visitor to sign up for a free newsletter, then you aren't going to be able to get them to fill out your order forms and order. Get them on the list, and then start emailing them as often as you can put out good content (along with the ads).

4. Develop a Unique Web Position.

Here is a trick to increase your sales from ANY affiliate program, but people rarely ever mention it. Any successful web site finds a way to make their products and or services unique from their competition.

When you are an affiliate though, you have thousands of competitors selling the exact same product at the exact same price. Every other affiliate in that company is your competition!

You will have to become unique if you want to beat the other affiliates competing against you. You may think it would be difficult to do, but it isn't.

All you have to do is add on some extra bonuses to those people who are purchasing from you. For example, if you're an affiliate for a video course, then add in a special free report on the same subject which is ONLY good for those who order from you. Your free report can be emailed to those who order so it won't cost you a penny of your commissions.

If you own an opt-in list like you should, you could give a free ad to anyone who orders an affiliate product from you. For example, you could write that anyone who orders the ________ (you would list the product here) before midnight tonight will also get a free ad ($30 value) in your newsletter...or three free ads. Buy submission software and submit their site to 1,000 search engines if they order today.

Do something like this and tell your opt-in email list subscribers and web site visitors about it. You will be setting yourself apart from the competition and be giving your purchasers an even better deal than buying from the affiliate owner!

Special limited time offers work extremely effectively when combined with your own opt-in list.

5. Generate Multiple Streams of Income.

If you follow all four of the principles above, then you are going to be able to earn money from many different affiliates programs, and that is exactly what you should do. You should join several non-competing programs which sell products to the same targeted market.

For example, if you have chosen to sell to Internet marketers, you may join:

An Internet Training Program
A Web Hosting Program
An Autoresponder program
A Business Opportunity
You can find several programs which target any specific niche group.

You can be earning 3 to 10 streams of income from the same visitors at your web site and subscribers to your newsletters. Having several streams of income helps every visitor to your site be worth more money to you!

How to Generate As Much Free Traffic As Your Server Can Stand

There's no question that THE best web site traffic is the traffic that OTHER PEOPLE send you.

When affiliates and joint venture partners send their best subscribers and customers to your site, it's as good as it gets. (It's free, it's targeted and it's effortless!)

I've actually witnessed first-hand a server getting so much traffic that it forced the site to temporarily shut down!

So, getting others to send their visitors to your site should be a top priority on your internet marketing agenda.

The question is: "where can these affiliates and partners be found?"

Short answer: Google.com.

I've found Google.com to be the best free research tool on the planet for finding new affiliates and JV partners.

There are (at least) seven ways to search Google's massive database for potential partners:

1. POPULAR PRODUCTS. Conduct a search for the title of your competitors' products to see which sites are actively promoting those products. Those who are already promoting similar products are likely candidates to promote yours. (And, they are obviously already familiar with affiliate marketing - especially important in "niches")

- Ex. If your product is about "niche marketing" do a search for "Nicheology".

2. ARTICLE TITLES. Conduct a search for the title of articles related to your product. Identify which sites are currently showcasing those articles and see if they will load your article to their site as well. (Note: You can find article titles at popular article directories such as GoArticles.com)

- Ex. If you've got an article related to free traffic, do a search for "How to Sell 300% More Of Your Product in 72 Hours Than You Did All Month". (Use quotations)

3. ACCESSORIES. Conduct a search for items that are related to your offer, but not identical to your offer.

- Ex. If your product is about "web site templates", do a search for "hosting" or "salesletters".

4. ADVERTISING. Conduct a search for terms that are related to your product and then look for those who are currently advertising using Google's Adwords(R). (The tiny ads in the right margin of the browser window). These will be more experienced marketers and more likely to be open to a joint venture proposal.

- Ex. If your product is related to "dieting", then search for "diet", "diet program", "weight loss", "exercise", "lose weight", etc.

5. AUTHORS AND EXPERTS. Conduct a search for the names of well known authors and experts within your field of interest. You'll likely find NUMEROUS sites mentioning that expert ranging from promoting their products to posting their articles to making comments about their influence. Look specifically for those who are using affiliate links.

- Ex. If your product is related to "internet marketing" then search for "Jimmy D. Brown".

6. URLs. Conduct a search for a word or phrase related to your topic of interest in the URL of the sites listed in Google's database. You can do this by using the search string, "inurl". I.E. inurl:"travel discounts". This will return a listing of all indexed URL listings that contain that phrase.

- Ex. If your product is about "rose gardening" do a search for inurl:"rose gardening".

7. TIPS AND ARTICLES. Conduct a search for a combination of a word or phrase related to your topic of interest, along with the words "tips" and "articles". I.E. "marketing tips", "time management articles".

- Ex. If your product is about "UFOs" do a search for "UFO articles".

Finding affiliates and joint venture partners is a MUST for anyone wanting to drive massive amounts of traffic to their site. And using Google.com's search features makes it easier than ever.

Make Money Working At Home by Elias Georgi

During the early part of this century, many hi-tech workers lost their jobs as the economy went into a tail spin and the technology companies found they had no markets for all of their technology heavy projects. Thousands of people lost their jobs and had to look for employment or begin new businesses. The silver lining in this phenomenon was that these same people changed careers and also started many new businesses from home.

Whether it is doing contract work, designing web sites, building a trades business or even babysitting the neighbors kids many people found that there was a life after being laid off and in many cases a better life at that. They found that suddenly they were in control of their own schedules instead of having to answer to the boss. They still needed to make money while they worked from home, however they could choose the hours they worked and spend more time with their families.

One of the most important things that everyone should keep in mind about making money from a home business is that everyone must continue to develop and improve their skills. It does not matter whether you are baby sitting the neighbors kids or operating a hi-tech web site development business out of your house. Staying abreast of the latest technology and the latest trends in your chosen business is absolutely essential. Many entrepreneurs spend several weeks a year devoted to learning, in addition to the daily challenge of operating a new home business.

Another factor that contributed to the success of the thousands of people who were laid off is that many people simply withdrew from the work force. They either retired or they gave up looking for work and did not develop anything on their own. In fact this trend continues today, especially with the thousands of baby boomers in North America who are retiring. The opportunity for people to start service related work at home businesses and be successful has never been better, since there are fewer skilled workers.

With so many people leaving the work force and the combination of improved technology, many people can work out of their homes with high speed connections and the latest in computers. Being virtually there has been accepted as a standard working environment. With this combination of events and technology solutions, the situation has never been better for work at home businesses to prosper and to make money.

How to Start Video Blogging?

Videoblogging is the next generation of posting ideas and products over the internet. Everybody knows about textblogging. Now they use videos for a better way of expression. This form of communication may entail a lot of resources, but it is all worth it. If pictures say a thousand words, videoblogging exceeds that by far.

A videoblog requires larger disk spaces on websites, a faster server, and a whole new set of programs to support it. Videoblogs can be fed through RSS. This is technology of syndicating your website to other RSS aggregators.

Videoblogging works with people on the internet expressing their selves. Now if you put this on a business prospective, you are up to a lot of benefits. Think of it as a powerful tool in making showing your prospective customers your line of products or your services. It’s just like showing a commercial all for free. And if you videoblog through RSS, then most probably you are getting your target market.

People like to see what they are going to buy. Some would like to see proof and be sure that they are getting their money’s worth before shelving their dimes on it. All of us know the influence of a thirty second commercial. The effect of videoblogging is similar to that. You show your product, people watch it. If they like it, they buy it. If you present it good enough, they’ll buy the product even if they don’t need it.

Now on the web, things are pretty much static, unlike in television in which all are moving. If you post something that is mobile, it would most likely catch attention. Now imaging your product parading in all it’s royalty through videoblog. You’ll get phone call orders in no time.

If your business is just starting up, you can create a videoblog right at your own home. All you need is your web camera, microphone, video software, and lights. For as long as you know how to use your camera, then you can create a videoblog.

Invest in a good web camera. The higher its resolution is the better the output. And you like to present your goods in the optimum way so get the best one possible. Make a short story, or just capture your goods in one go. Just make sure you are getting the best profile for each. Get those creativity juices flowing.

Lights are important in a production. Make sure you illuminate entirely the area you are going to use to create videoblog. The brighter the area, the crispier the images will be. You can also use lighting effects for added appeal to the presentation.

Should you require sounds for your videoblog, you need a microphone. Record you voice as a voice over for promoting the product and its benefit to consumers. Sounds are as important as videos on a videoblog. It is advisable to make your sound effects as enticing as the video.

Your video editing software can be any program. You need this to finalize your work. You can add sounds, delete some bad angles, or insert some still pictures in there too. Some programs are user-friendly and can be used even with zero knowledge on video editing. Even simple video editing programs should do the trick. Select your background carefully too. The light affects the presentation so make sure that the background and the light complements each other.

Videoblogging is a great tool but it also has it downside. It may slow down the computer so other may steer clear of it. Download time may also be time consuming especially if customer is still on a dial- up connection.

But don’t let those stop you. Let videoblogging be an alternative for you, though it is best to still keep the text and pictures present in your presentation to accommodate all possible viewers of your site.

Nowadays, the more creative you are in presenting your product to the market, they more you are likely to succeed. Videoblogging offers an interactive way of selling. You involve the customers. You instill in them the advantage of your goods. And at times, those are enough to make a sale.
